Google: The Menu button is dead and that’s a good thing

Google: The Menu button is dead and that’s a good thing.

This is not a disruptive technology

This DOES add to the field of mobile tech development because this changes everything in terms of how apps are designed on Android devices. Not havnig a physical menu button on the phone itself ,means that app developers will all now be building apps that will need some sort of on-screen navigation. My best guess would be that the Android SDK would be updated to include some sort of uniform and consistent UI style for the in app buttons.

This DOES change the economic state of mobile technology…who knows how some apps may do once switching or how some carriers may respond to this news. Will they continue to put the MENU button on the phone regardless? Any of these ideas could have an economic impact.
