Huge crowd forces delay of China’s iPhone 4S release

Apple’s flagship Beijing store canceled the release of the iPhone 4s this Friday morning because of  anxiety of the threat of large crowds. Employees were preparing to open the doors at 7 am, but plans changed when they noticed hundreds of customers already crowding the streets. Police force was necessary and Apple made the executive decision to maintain the peace and safety of its employees by keeping the store closed. Apple representative Carolyn Wu commented “the iPhone will not be available in our retail stores in Beijing and Shanghai for the time being.”
