 Texting profits at risk as consumers look elsewhere

U.S.mobile operators are realizing that consumers are finding cheaper ways of communication. Instead of using SMS text messaging, consumers are taking advantage of low-priced alternatives such as iMessenger, Blackberry Messenger and Facebook’s mobile messaging services. Because of this AT&T and Verizon Wireless have instituted higher service fees for text messaging.
