Patients will soon be instructed to monitor their health via a mobile app from anywhere versus seeing a doctor. Certain patients will be urged to record daily measurements and text them into a central computer system. The data will be evaluated and the patient will receive a reply aiding in their treatment. But there are some cons to this approach on health care. Doctors view this as a big mistake in that it would be wrong to force patients to use this mobile app. There would be certain groups such as the elderly that are not tech-savvy and would rather just make an appointment. Can mobile apps be inserted in to the health care industry with ease? A definite barrier is the widespread audience that it would affect. Can that be handled with mobile apps?
