Apple tightens up on apps

Soon enough, Apple Inc. will enforce stringent controls over software constructed for Mac computers by limiting how some apps can have the right to use certain parts of the operating system and hardware, such as the camera, network or photo library. Developers say that because of this new rule they might be required to eradicate certain features of their apps. Apple’s decision now is introducing a procedure known as “sandboxing” for apps which prevents an app from taking control of other parts of the system. This condition means that if developers would like an app to execute functions like connecting to the Internet or syncing data with some other apps they will have to ask permission from Apple when they present their apps to the App store.
