It is hard to talk about privacy on apps that require GPS to function. Find My Friend app is an application that provides users with a accurate location of their friends upon proper request of course. Developers have came up with a way to give the app more privacy in a sense of accuracy. According to a new patent application by Apple, users can adjust/customize the amount of information that is being given as far as location by adjusting the precision bar. Now users have a choice on whether they want to allow friends to know where their exact location is , or what neighborhood, town, or city they are in. I can see this functionality being used in other application in the months to come. If there is a function that allows you to “give some but not all”, then people would be amped to use it.
