The two mobile giants are at it again, this time in a court setting. German judge last week thew out two law suits between Apple and Samsung, while one remains. Apple claims that Samsung violated the side-lock patent that Apple currently holds. On the Samsung case, they came that Apple used their 3G/UMTS functionalities in the iPhone. Although both cases were thrown out, Apple has won a lawsuit of this caliber before forcing the band of Samsung’s Galaxy Tablet 10. Samsung counteracted that by producing the Galaxy 10.1N. The upcoming case involves the push notifications that Apple is most famous for. Motorola claims they hold a patent “Motorola Mobility” for that functionality. This can effect a lot dealing with mobile application especially with iPhone users. Push notifications are one of the only means for notification with the iPhone.
