If you thought your data was safe on your Android device, think again. A proof of concept app developed by Paul Brodeur, a security researcher with Leviathan Security Group, exposes a security vulnerability that enables him to fetch data from the devices sdcard. This data included pictures, backups and config files.
This sure is alarming considering that the app required no special permissions to run. Who knows what personal data is already being stolen. Until a patch is issued, all of those with Android devices should remain vigilant.
