Starbucks allows Square Mobile Payments in November

Square users next month will be able to enter a Starbucks and purchase products by scanning a bar code on their phone at the register. Eventually the process will change where Square will use GPS on the customer’s phone, allowing a customer to simply pay by telling the cashier his or her name. The cashier will than identify the customer by a photo display on the register and confirm the purchase without the customer having to pull out their phone or wallet.
