Google Maps for iOS is almost complete, but will Apple allow it

Today, Wall Street Journal reported that Google were putting their final touches on its new “Google Maps” app. With that being said, the app should be released into app stores soon. Considering the app has more features than the one created by Apple, Google will have to keep their fingers crossed and hope Apple accepts it into their app store.

Google itself, think that the chances of Apple accepting it is slim, according to sources within the company. “The reason for the skepticism is fairly obvious: Google’s app would compete directly with Apple’s, and the iPhone maker doesn’t have a great track record with dealing with these sorts of situations.” ”We believe Google Maps are the most comprehensive, accurate and easy-to-use maps in the world. Our goal is to make Google Maps available to everyone who wants to use it, regardless of device, browser, or operating system,” the company says (and has said verbatim multiple times before).”

If your a big fan of google maps and is looking forward to downloading from the Apple app store, you wanna say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed.
