Microsoft hosts app labs to help Windows 8 app store

Microsoft is hosting a series of free Windows 8 app labs across the globe in various cities including New York, London, Paris, and Shanghai. The goal of these labs is to help developers whether a developer needs help bringing their ideas together to form the beginnings of an app or simply wants to test their app on a range of Windows 8 equipment. These labs are designed to provide a boost to the development process of building a Windows app. It is Microsoft’s hope that these labs will also provide a healthy boost to the Windows App Store as a whole. They want to be able to compete with the already healthy Android and iOS app stores.
