Smartphone Battery Life Doubled

A MIT company named ETA Devices says that it has created a new design for batteries that cut smartphone energy consumption by half. The device works by choosing the voltage that would use the least power across the device’s chip transistors. The technology is called Asymmetric Multilevel Outphasing and ETA Devices hopes to show the product off next year in February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This technology if successful could allow smartphones to become stronger in the things they are able to do while still using less battery life.
