Time Warner offers free Wi-Fi and charging stations to NYC

With the recent devastation of Hurricane Sandy, Time Warner is trying to do the best they can do in order to help those owners without power or Internet access. According to Time Warner Cable, they will be “multiple vehicles outfitted with WI-FI access points and charging stations headed into areas of New York City as of yesterday. Anyone able to find their way to one of the vehicles could charge their smartphone, tablet, or laptop, and tap into a 4G Wi-Fi connection to get online.” Time Warner Cable is also offering updates via Twitter feeds as to when and where the vehicles will be stopping at. In addition, TWC will be allowing owners to come into their retail stores and charge their mobile devices.They are also offering “Wi-Fi hot spots throughout New York City so that subscribers and non-subscribers can get online.”
