In less than a week of the iphone 5s being released the new fingerprint scanner that is suppose to secure the iphone has already been hacked. A man that goes by Starbug in berlin was the first to cracked the new scanner. He basically used a higher resolution printer when printing the fingerprint because the iPhone uses a high resolution scanner.
At first glance this makes the iPhone 5s not very impressive and seems like the fingerprint scanner is a joke, but the likelihood of someone being able to get your fingerprint, have the correct printer, and know exactly how to use it to unlock your phone is slim. I still see this being a great piece of security for mobile devices, and I think it is a great step in biological technology being infused with mobile technology.
