TriMet Mobile Ticketing App

Are you located in the Portland area? Do you desperately need to catch the  bus/train/streetcar but have the problem(s) of no cash or no ticket? For the multitude of mass transit riders in the Portland metropolitan area, your dreams may have just come true. There is now an app to help with that.

Thanks to TriMet the nation’s first multimodal transit agency, a free mobile ticketing app TriMet Tickets has been created for iPhone and Android users. The app allows users to purchase multiple tickets across all of its operations —  this includes the region’s commuter rail, light rail, streetcar and bus lines extending from 2-hour fares to 30 day passes.  Consequences of using this app that I could see  would be a person not having a strong signal to gain access to the app harboring them from using  their mobile ticket, thus not allowing them to get on transit of their choice.
