For the first time since HTC became a public company, they have reported a quarterly loss of $101 million. HTC was initially focusing on a partnership with Microsoft, although they have now begun to shift towards Nokia’s smartphone market. This signals a shift in the smartphone market, as Microsoft is becoming increasingly at risk of being the only supplier of the Windows based smartphone.
