Is iPhone 5s’ 64-bit Processor Chip Just a Marketing Gimmick?

Qualcomm’s CMO, Anand Chandrasekher, criticizes Apple’s 64-bit chip as nothing but more than a marketing gimmick. He goes on to say that you would need hardware with at least 4 GB of RAM, while the iPhone 5S only has 1 GB of RAM. Although, I don’t know enough about 64-bit chips and the hardware required to get its optimum processing use, I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple did something like this. Chandrasekher addresses the fact that more phones like Samsung’s Galaxy S5, which is rumored to be released in Feburary of 2014, will also be incorporating 64-bit chips but that Apple did it just a little too early.
