LG’s Mobile Division Loses Money, Even With High Sales

In a recent report, LG stated that despite their $2.75 billion reported sales in their 3rd quarter, which was a 24% increase from Q3 2012, they still had a loss in profit because of increased competition and higher marketing investments. While Samsung seems to be the only company to be turning a major profit on Android smartphones. LG does plan to focus more on their premium products, like the LG G2, by releasing it during the peak holiday season and maximizing its 3G products as well.
