Verizon’s Vice President of Security Says “Don’t look at us to protect your data. That’s on you”

At a recent high profile technology conference, Verizon’s Vice President of National Security Policy made several statements regarding user privacy. He basically says they will continue selling the data of all users, and that if you don’t like it, it is your responsibility to protect yourself. The recent NSA spying revelations have shown that user data is being collected at an alarming rate. Although more advanced users are familiar with encryption methods and safe usage, the majority of users will continue having their data collected if they are using Verizon.
