It might not be earth shattering news, but it sure is interesting

There are a good number of mobile devices on the list and with the day fast approaching this certainly seems like something worth checking out if you are going to be standing in like and wasting a thanksgiving for some good bargains.

Will Twitter have the same fate as Facebook when it goes public?

Twitter is officially a publicly owned company entering the market at $26 and quickly climbing $45.10 a share. It is common for that sort of move when a company finally goes public and it is predicted to calm down once the initial rush has settled. After seeing what Facebook did when it went public it is understandable to be cautious when considering buying a little piece of the twitter pie. Only time will tell if it is a more sound investment and to see if more people will profit from 140 character messages sent out to the general public. #goodluck #hashtag

No more misplaced devices!

.. Within your own home that is, this new chip will help to pinpoint any item in your house with up to 4 inch accuracy. This kind of technology small enough to fit on almost anything relatively unnoticeably will help people from frantically stripping their house when they can find their cell phones. The Decawave is sure to become a product that will be built into most mobile devices automatically in order to add this feature to the endless list of features phones offer these days.

Finally, Legos meet cell phones, every guys dream.

A new project at Google called Ara could mean a whole new world for the mobile phone market. Essentially you build your own phone based off a set of parts that would cater to the kind of phone you wanted. This idea has been floating around the internet for a couple years now so it comes as no surprise that it is actually in the works with a major company such as Google. This kind of product would add a whole new dimension in the world of cellphones. Instead of buying a whole new phone every time the next best thing comes out people will be able to upgrade parts of their phones and downplay things they do not want. This project is still very new and is in no way a guaranteed success, but if the execution is as well done as the theory it certainly has a lot of potential to shake up the world of mobile technology.

Mobile platforms are up, so that means advertising will follow.

With mobile technology where it is today, it is only fitting that every business with any aspiration of being relevant wants to advertise. It is only fitting that someone trying to make money would want to advertise were potential consumers are looking the most, and where would that be? I do not have statistics on it but mobile phones are certainly a contender for this title. Phones do it all now so users are looking through apps all day long.

The real question then is, “Is it worth it to advertise on mobile devices”?

This website does not believe so, and they feel they have the study to prove it. They do grant some potential to improve the process and once that is done it could be a viable source but until then, no it is not worth it.

Read the article through the link below to see the numbers, the logic, and the predictions:

Will google ever stop? 1,000 dollars a share does not think so.

There is a psychological barrier that keeps stocks below 1,000 dollars a share, something about the amount of digits keeps people from buying. What has the motivation to get people past that barrier? The number of O’s in Google apparently, Google recently went over that mark on Thursday October 17. They credit multiple things to their constant and recently surging success, one of the most important being their mobile tech available in the market.

With all this success there is bound to be in increase in presence in the world of mobile technology. The growth of peoples demand for newer and better mobile tech will only supplement Googles growth and hunger to dominate the mobile market. Exciting things will continue to come from Google, and with their expanded stock price and ego, for a long time to come.

Buying the Iphone 5S too soon could make you a crash test dummy

Apps on the new Iphone are apparently crashing at a much faster rate than on any other iphone. The new software from iOS 7 mixed with the hardware of the 5s needs a little bit of calibrating before they will working flawlessly. This could be alarming for mobile app developers for the time being but the chances of this having any long term effects on the mobile app market are slim to none.

As if there were not enough Advertisements in our life, Facebook keeps them coming.

With Facebook reaching 145 Million app ad downloads in 2013 alone they have decided to try and improve the already successful idea. A more dynamic advertisement system for the Facebook mobile app could provide a lot of help in connecting users with a more interactive experience. A goal of this new system is to keep people from only opening an app once, and they will be able to do this by tailoring the app to a users unique situation. In the article they have a great example using Clash of Clans which makes it much easier to understand. This new system could potentially market in a new way of advertising on mobile devices and will most certainly earn Facebook even more money than they already have.

145M app installs later, Facebook intros new mobile ads to combat app abandonment

Windows looking to break away from the past, will it cause them to shatter?

It is just out of the rumor mill, but more and more people are talking about the one and only Bill Gates being removed from his Chairman position at Windows. The man that started it all getting kicked out? That sounds to me like something that would mean Windows is looking for a little peace of the “Change” that Obama has been throwing around. What direction can we expect them to move in, and how long will it take to see these effects? In the article it talks about the replacement of the Steve Ballmer and how if Bill Gates is still there he will pick someone too much like Steve in order to preserve their way of business. This is not what the rest of the company wants however, so lets see what happens.

Pinsight Touch from Sprint could be a game changer, could…

This is not the first time Sprint has offered devices capable of NFC (Near Field Communication), but they are promising to make it the easiest. With this new development there could be a large push for these types of apps on mobile phones, a new toy means a new market. The big challenge will obviously be security so it would be safe to say that there would not be a cheap option out when building for this kind of technology. This technology has not been a massive success to this point, so it would take a lot of key factors in order to call this the “next big thing” (Mr. Farhood’s favorite cliche).

The people are accepting it, now the developers need to.

iOS 7 has swept the nation and for Iphone users is the way to go. With the change in users technology this means that apple app builders need to consider how to build their apps. Any shortcuts taken in order to lower the cost of building an app could cause future problems because of compatibility issues. In this article it shows how quickly people are making the switch to the new iOS, which proves how imperative it is that app builders take future iOS seriously in the future.

If there was ever a time to stop building BlackBerry Apps, It is now.

Actually, it has probably been a poor decision to build for Black Berry for a long time now what is a Billion dollars loss mean anyway? This company has been out of their prime long enough to make that clear, but if it was a sign you were looking for to determine whether or not you would build for them, then as the great Bill Engvall likes to say “HERES YOUR SIGN”.

With all these security scandals, does Apple really thing we want to give them our finger prints?

An extremely interesting feature that was featured during the release of the new Iphone 5S is the finger print. No they did not invent the finger print, but they are trying to bring it to the mobile world like never before. This could be a fun and exciting security feature but do we really need this to be added to the long list of things that are sold to or given to the NSA? This article talks about the kinds of things that could go astray with this new security feature, but also tips it’s cap in the direction of what this could become. This sort of push for a stronger type of security shows that all the current events about security fails have made mobile developers conscious of what changes people might want.

All This Talk About Iphones, How About A Shout Out To The Waterproof Little Guy

While the Reef has the ability to literally swim with the fishes, it will probably do that metaphorically shortly after as well. The Virgin Mobiles new phone, the ZTE Reef can endure total submersion in water, but lacks many of the other durability features that would make it more useful rather than just waterproof. An average review on CNET.com shows the ups and downs (which are not exactly equal, in favor of downs) shows what to expect if you have the need to take pictures underwater. This should not bring much change to the world of mobile app development, but it may open further the door of apps made for underwater use.
