Hackers foil Apple’s new Touch ID system

Hackers from the Chaos Computer Club claim to have successfully bypassed Apple’s new Touch ID fingerprint scanning security system. The method is complicated enough that most everyday thieves would probably not be able to achieve access. However, it involves photographing a left behind fingerprint and creating a glue model of it. Fingerprint readers have long faced vulnerabilities, but perhaps the most serious security issue here is really is a matter of user fingerprint privacy.
