Amazon’s ‘Firetube’ set-top box reportedly delayed

Amazon has been working on a new set-top box that is designed to compete with Apple’s Apple TV, the Google Chromecast and Roku. However the Verge reports that the release of this new device may unfortunately be delayed until after the holidays. The device would likely provide similar services to its competitors and would offer video streaming of the companies library of Prime videos. These also include some original shows available only on Amazon products so it only makes sense that Amazon enters this growing market of. It would also be expected to work alongside Amazon’s line of tablets if it ran some form of the Fire OS.
