The innovative development company Egos Ventures has a very interesting app called Cycloramic that utilizes the vibrating motor in Apple’s iPhone 5S and iPhone 5 which allows users to take 360-degree videos and panoramic pictures. In a recent test done by Laptop Mag, the iPhone 5S and the Nokia Lumia 1020 were compared side by side in a photo shootout. The results placed the iPhone 5S as the winner. This is shocking considering the Nokia Lumia 1020 was built entirely around its massive 41 megapixel camera. The iPhone 5S is equipped with only an 8 megapixel camera, which won 8 out of 11 shots over the Lumia 1020.

The world of iPhone photography is ever expanding as each newly released device has an increasingly impressive camera. With this comes the development of new third-party technologies to further the possibilities of taking creative photos with your mobile device. In the not so distant past we’ve seen products like Easy-Macro, a simple attachable macro lens for your iPhone. There’s a new product available though, it’s called The Smartphone Spy Lens. This product doesn’t actually turn you into a spy as the name implies, but it does add the possibility of taking clear 90 degree photos with your mobile device. This allows for some interesting angles for snapping pictures and is available for $20.
