Coach’s eye Application used to improve soccer players

There is an application called “Coach’s Eye” that is giving soccer coaches the ability to slow down and highlight video taken of players, in order to help them improve and practice technique.  This application uses the camera on a mobile phone or tablet to capture the players movements.  Once video is taken, it can then be edited (in app) by the coach.  A coach can then edit the video to highlight, circle, color, slow down, and pinpoint errors in technique.  The player is able to rewatch the video, and have in app commentary (from the coach) describing ways to fix it.  This is important because most soccer players are visual learners, and having the ability to rewatch videos of themselves will help improve their technique.  This application is just another example of how tablets and smart phones can be used outside of business environments, while mixing entertainment and work.
